Thematic issues are strongly preferred to a group of loosely connected papers.

Proposals of special issues should be submitted directly to the Editor-in-Chief: All proposals are being reviewed by the Editorial Team on the basis of certain criteria that include, e.g.: the novelty, contribution, and topicality of the theme, and the overall added value of the proposed special issue.
